Martin Wong Collection

February 03, 2017

Noc's work is part of the collection of the Museum of the City of New York as part of the collection donated by the late, great painter Martin Wong. We had the opportunity to view some of the archived works and came across an old sketch book that Martin acquired over 25 years ago that was once Noc's. Here are a few images.

Some new nude drawings

June 02, 2014

2014 is off to a bit of a slow start as far as art making is concerned for NOC. However in the past month he turned it up and has come up with a series of new nudes that are classic and good to see. If anyone knows Noc's work he has recurring themes that he likes to draw and paint which include nudes, muscle cars, erotica, Bode inspired cartoons, outer space and of course his classic letters. Here are the most recent drawings.

Noc167 in Bed-Stuy

February 20, 2013

Noc had the opportunity to collaborate on a wall in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn with Noxer and Ket. A last minute addition to the lineup Noc was able to improvise and paint his section of the wall with no preplanned sketch not color skeme. The looseness and use of color shows his true genius as a style master.NOC167 wall in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, 2013

NOC167 truck, Brooklyn, October 2012

November 25, 2012

This Noc piece is a collboaration with Ket, Noxer and 3ess. The inspiration of the 2-sided truck painting was the abuse of power by police, business people, and politicians. As a further source of reference and inspiration they took the imagery of the famous illustrator and Black Panther Party member Emory Douglas and incorporated their pieces choosing his depiction of police and politicians and corporate business men as pigs.
